I cannot thank Medication-Nation enough, and the very brave and courageous Advocates who stood up to Sierra Vista and Pscyhiatric Solutions, Inc. (previously Ardent Health Services, Inc.)-- which was the corporation that orginally owned Sierra Vista in 2004 when the State first started to cite Sierra Vista for violations. However, I personally KNOW having been a victim of two sexual assaults at Sierra Vista-- the first sexual assault happening I believe my second night in Ward D while I slept in my room (and drugged) and the following night after I had REPORTED the first rape that morning to the HEAD DAY NURSE, who unbelievably told me that the act was "CONSENSUAL." Sierra Vista refused to take me to ER where a sexual assault examination and rape evidence kit would have not only proved that I was sexually assaulted but also provided DNA evidence identifying the Rapist. Also, the Rapist even confessed and bragged to the Day Hall Monitor the morning after the first sexual assault how he avoided detection from the Night Supervisor to rape me. Thereafter, the staff member and the Rapist then high-fived each other. (This I witnessed personally from the door of my bedroom/room before I reported the rape to the Head Day Nurse.) And then the Rapist (with such encouragement clearly from the staff) came back the next night and raped me again when I was again drugged and in a deep sleep. (I first woke up because my virtually catatonic roommate told him to "GET OUT" of the room...Please, please, please continue to go after this unconscionable and egregious corporation and hospital(s) who clearly have no or little conscience for the well-being and SAFETY of their patients. There are other stories of abuse that happened at both Sierra Vista and Heritage Oaks Hospitals. And with the continued collective advocacy and efforts of socially conscience individuals like those who showed up yesterday at Sierra Vista (bless all of you), we hopefully can start to hold these unethical individuals accountable for their unconscionable and unspeakable actions as is mandated by civil, criminal and human rights LAWS. This corporation SHOULD NOT BE ABOVE THE LAW especially at the grave expense of some of the most vulnerable and helpless individuals in society-- while their corporations continues to be one of the fastest growing behavioral health care companies in the country. Clearly, the bottom line from what I have experienced at both Hospitals is: PROFIT. Thank you very much for letting me share my story and thoughts. This has been healing for me....

Hi Erin/ Missing Him,

I was the one who created that sign for your dad. I also helped organize that protest. I work for Citizens Commission on Human Rights and we have been doing the protests and vigils for anyone that we are aware of who have suffered loss through Sierra Vista's negligence.

I would like to talk to/email exchange you personally as I know that your father's 1 year memorial is coming up and we hope to do vigils for all persons loss to this monstrous so-called hospital.

I look forward to talking with you. Linda
